In keeping with the vision of nurturing all-round development of tomorrow's leaders, VVISM has introduced Activity Based Learning Approach. A combination of student-centered learning environment with innovative teaching methods delivers effective classroom learning. The rigorous course curriculum is a combination of theory, research and practical application. Designed and developed by inputs from the industry experts and academic stalwarts of the Academic Advisory Board, the robust curriculum, undergoes relevant alterations from time to time to be in tandem with the dynamics of the business world and current job markets. Inputs on entrepreneurship, globalization and leadership are woven into the curriculum, as non-credit courses to give students learning that is holistic and versatile.
Teaching is interactive and the typical V V I S M classroom is a dynamic, semi-formal space animated by lively discussions, students' presentations and simulation games. Case Based teaching is core to V V I S M teaching practice. Besides, tools like role play, management games, and field projects are used invariably across the subjects to augment learning. |
The institute conducts seminars, workshops, mock interviews, group discussions, book reviews and case studies on a regular basis. The emphasis on team-oriented learning and continuous evaluation through individual and group presentations helps students develop their interpersonal and team building skills. |
Industrial tours, field surveys, mini projects and alliances with corporate organizations for mentoring and experiential training equip students to apply their understanding of classroom theory to real world situations. |
Saturday sessions are specially used for Industry-Institute Interface. Working professionals, management gurus, consultants, eminent scholars and academicians are regularly invited to visit to the institute and share their expertise with students and faculty. |
